Windows XP Dialup Setup
Start out by clicking on Start and then Right
clicking My Network Places and choosing Properties.

Click on Create a new connection in the upper left
corner to open the New Connection Wizard.

Click on Next to go to the next page.

Chose the connect to the Internet Option and click
on Next

Make sure the Connect using a dial-up modem is
selected and click on next.

Type America Internet in the box. Click on Next.

Refer to your setup sheet and type in the dialup
phone number. If you have call waiting you may want
to type in *70, before the phone number. If you have
to dial 9 to reach an outside line you will want to
type *9, before the dialup number. Click on Next.

Chose Anyone's use so that all accounts on your
computer can access this dial up account. If you
wish for only your account to access the Internet
then chose My use only. Click on Next.

Refer to your information sheet. Type in your user
name and password. Your username will be all lower
case letters and your password WILL BE case
sensitive. Click on Next.

If you would like to have a short cut on your
desktop to your America Internet Icon check the Add
a shortcut to this connection on my desktop and then
click Finish. Otherwise click Finish.

You are now
ready to surf the web!
