Windows 95/98 Dialup Setup

Start out by clicking on My Computer on your desktop.



Once the My Computer Window Opens navigate to Dial-Up Networking and click on it.



A new window will open. Locate the Create New Connection Icon and click on it. This will open
the Dialup Networking Wizard.



Type America Internet for the name of the Connection. Your default modem should be selected. Your computer may have something other than LT Win Modem under Select a Device. Click on Next.



Type in the area code that you are dialing from and the dialup number you are going to connect to. Check your setup page to verify the current dialup number. Click on Next.



You are almost ready to get online. Click on finish.



If you want to place a shortcut to America Internet right click on the America Internet Icon and select Create Shortcut.



Just answer yes and an Icon will be placed on your desktop.



Now all you have to do is click on the America Internet icon to connect.
