Windows 2000, 2000 Server, and 2000 Advanced Server Dialup Setup

Start by clicking on the Start Button and then going to Settings and then Network and Dialup Connections.



In the new window Click on Make New Connection to open the New Connection Wizard.





Click on Next to start.



Make sure that Dial-up to the Internet is selected and click on Next.



Chose I want to set up my Internet connection manually... Click Next.



Verify that I connect through a phone line and modem is selected and click Next.



Refer to your setup sheet and type in the Dialup Number. It is not necessary to include the - in the phone number. To disable Call Waiting add *70, to the number. If you have to dial 9 to get an outside line add *9, to the number. Once you have done this click Next.



Type in your username and password and click next.



Type America Internet for the connection name and click Next.



Chose No and Click Next.



Click on finish. If you want to connect right now check the box below.




Congratulations! You are now ready to surf the web!
